About Open Minds
Touching Lives, Improving Life is the motto upheld by Procter & Gamble. We are committed to focusing our social investments and employee engagement on our global corporate cause: Live, Learn and Thrive. This helps us to focus our energy on helping children in need, from birth to age 13, wherever they are. In Malaysia, P&G focuses primarily on “Learn” to provide educational opportunities for children with special needs such as autism, cerebral palsy and dyslexia in the country. As a result, in 1999, Open Minds was established and since then, we have contributed more than RM 6 million and touched the lives of more than 10,000 children in Malaysia.
Through Open Minds, we hope to:
• Continue our focused efforts in helping and improving the lives of special children by providing better
access to education and facilities they need.
• Partner like-minded organisations to cross-promote the needs of special children and our on-going
efforts to meet them.
• Raise awareness about the plight of special children among our employees, consumers and the community.
